Tim Cotton and the St Joseph Libertarian Party Hosts Major Libertarian Event at St. Joseph County 4H Fair

St. Joseph County, Indiana – July 5, 2024

The St. Joseph Libertarian Party is thrilled to announce the successful hosting of a major event on July 4th at the St. Joseph County 4H Fair. This event, spearheaded by Tim Cotton, who announced his candidacy for the Indiana Senate earlier this year, showcased a lineup of National, State, and Local Libertarian candidates.

A Celebration of Libertarian Values

"We extend our heartfelt thanks to WSBT-TV and ABC57 for covering our event and to the Fair Board for accommodating our bustling booth," said Tim Cotton. "We were overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm from both the fair attendees and the Libertarian community."

The event was a significant gathering for the Libertarian Party, bringing together key figures such as:

  • Mike ter Maat for Vice President, who traveled through Indiana specifically for this event.
  • Donald Rainwater for Indiana Governor, known for his broad appeal across the state.
  • Andrew Horning for US Senate, who took a detour from his vacation to participate.
  • William Henry for Congress, who paused his home refurbishment to attend.

Building Momentum

Tim Cotton, County Chair for the St. Joseph Libertarian Party, emphasized the importance of these gatherings in building momentum for Libertarian ideals. "This event was not just about our campaigns; it was about connecting with the community and showcasing that there is a viable third choice on the ballot," Tim Cotton explained. "The overwhelming response reaffirms our belief in the principles of individual liberty and limited government."

Community Engagement

The fair provided an excellent platform for engaging with the public and local media. "We provided plenty of footage and talking points to local media, and we encourage the community to visit our booth or reach out to local stations to learn more about our candidates and platforms," said Tim Cotton.

Continuing the Campaign

The St. Joseph Libertarian Party invites everyone to visit their booth for the remaining days of the fair. Meet the candidates, ask questions, and pick up campaign materials. In addition to Tim Cotton for State Senate District 10, other candidates present included Charlie Florance for IN House 6, Melissa Kauffman for IN House 21, and Amanda Mitchell for County Commissioner District 3.
